Amber Ballard
Master of Ceremonies
Born and raised in the Kootenays, Amber Ballard spent a great deal of time riding horses, playing team sports and writing music. Always looking for adventure, Amber went to Bangkok, Thailand as a Rotary Exchange student in her grade 12 year – while there she developed an appreciation for new cultures, a passion for social justice, spicy food and tropical weather. After moving to Vancouver and completing a diploma in classical flute, a B.A. in Asian Studies and International Relations and a post-baccalaureate in International Business – Amber returned to Thailand for two years (back to the sun!), where she worked as a fundraiser for a Thai non-profit. Recently completing her professional designation in fundraising, Amber now works at Regent College and in her spare time can be found mountain biking in Squamish and on the North Shore mountains.
