Judy Graves
Keynote Speaker of the 2011 BC Leadership Prayer Breakfast
Judy Graves, Coordinator of Tenant Assistance at City Hall, has worked with Vancouver’s street population since 1979. Since 1994 she has focused on Canada’s increasing homeless population. Judy learns from the homeless by going into the streets and listening to them, both during the day and into the night. She designed the Outreach Project, now used across British Columbia and Alberta, making it possible for a person who is sleeping on the sidewalk at 6:00am to have an income and a permanent room of their own by 4:00pm the same afternoon.
For her years of commitment and service, Judy Graves has earned an honorary doctorate and continues to serve in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

For me, the National Prayer Breakfast was a beautiful expression of intergenerational unity and definitely shed hope and vision for the next wave of leaders in Canada. I was honoured to be in the presence of so many men and women of faith who not only love Jesus but have such a heart for the future of our nation. - JJ Honasan

My first time at the National Student Forum further opened my eyes, heart, and mind to the ways in which God astonishes with His perfect will and timing, with many speakers’ sharing reminding me that nothing is ever wasted when we pursue God with our all. I am inspired to continue leaning upon Him for the continued passion and vision He has already rooted in my heart. I was also blown away by the enthusiasm and passion of my fellow participants! - Jenny Lee, Queens University Alumni
